Usually, the plastic flexible extension cable snaps, which obviously makes your antenna inoperative. This kit includes a new cable attached to the mast. Note: During the years 1988-92, GM used both Harada & ACDelco antennas. Harada antennas can be identified by a rubberized sheath around the motor; ACDelco's are without a sheath.
