From 1984-96 Chevrolet used two different methods to support the seat bottom cushion (also called seat bottom foam). In the early models they used poorly designed, thin support wires which typically rust through or cut into the seat foam. On late models they made the switch to straps which is a good engineering design (they don't rust or cut into the seat foam), however, after years of use and tens of thousands of miles of wear they do lose their tension. The result is a sagging seat bottom that lets you sink far too far into the seat! This kit replaces the thin wires on the early models as an upgrade and brings your late model back into factory specs. Plus with this seat strap kit you get new front and rear retainer wires. Installation takes less than 10 minutes and one kit completes one seat.
